Ashley McBryde has never been afraid of a hard truth. From the raw honesty of her songwriting to the unflinching way she shares her story, authenticity has always been her calling card. Now, she’s bottling that same spirit into something bigger than music: Redemption, her newly opened non-alcoholic forward bar in the heart of Nashville’s Broadway. And true to its name, Redemption is more than just a bar, it’s a lifeline.

A Bar Built on Her Story
Located on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s at 200 Broadway, Redemption takes its name from McBryde’s 2016 Jalopies & Expensive Guitars album cut, but the symbolism doesn’t stop there. It’s a nod to her own path to sobriety and a place designed for anyone looking for connection without compromise.
Painted in rich crimson tones and layered with moody décor, Redemption is part sanctuary, part songwriting den. Easter egg details nod to McBryde’s journey, creating a space that feels less like a Broadway hotspot and more like a diary brought to life.

Even the menu feels personal. With 18 zero-proof cocktails carefully crafted like a setlist, drinks like the “Flickerin’ Flames of Hell,” “Martini McBryde,” “Gospel Night,” and “The Devil I Know” carry the same lyrical wit and bite as McBryde’s songwriting.
A Stage, A Song, A Beginning
McBryde didn’t just cut the ribbon on her new space, she christened it the only way she knows how: with a guitar in her hands. During a week of intimate soft openings, she welcomed the first 200 guests herself, then played a stripped-back acoustic set from the corner stage.

The night wove through “Redemption” and “Luckiest S.O.B.,” alongside unreleased gems and a Randall Clay original, “Emptying Ashtrays.” For McBryde, it was a full-circle moment.
“I had a bunch of friends in last night and some of them have been watching me play music since I was 19 years old in Memphis,” McBryde shared, smiling between songs. “I played in bars that I wouldn’t let you walk into now; places where your feet stick to the floor and there aren’t stalls in the bathroom. And then they got to walk into this place.”
It was the kind of moment that only Broadway could script, but only McBryde could deliver.
The Redemption Residency
Of course, McBryde isn’t content to simply open the doors. Earlier this month, she announced The Redemption Residency, a sold-out, four-show series inside Chief’s Neon Steeple. Each night promises to be a one-of-a-kind performance, curated by McBryde herself with unique setlists, themes, and surprises.

And knowing McBryde, fans shouldn’t be shocked if she pops up in Redemption before or after the main event, offering a bonus dose of Broadway magic.
The Redemption Residency Dates:
Tues. October 14
Weds. October 15
Thurs. December 11
Fri. December 12
On a strip known for neon lights, crowded honky-tonks, and whiskey shots, Ashley McBryde’s Redemption is rewriting the script. It’s not just about a drink, it’s about a moment, a story, a second chance. Broadway may never be the same, and that’s exactly the point.
