Vince Gill Signs Lifetime Deal with MCA, Launching Year of New Music

Decades into his storied career, Vince Gill is showing that inspiration doesn’t fade, it multiplies. As part of the new deal, Gill is unveiling 50 Years From Home, a year-long EP series set to roll out monthly. Each collection will pair brand-new songs with classics from his catalog, taking listeners through the soundscape of his 50-year journey in country music.

The first installment, 50 Years From Home: I Gave You Everything I Had, arrives October 17, featuring the newly 2x platinum-certified classic “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”

“I’m feeling the most creative I’ve ever felt in my career these last few years,” shared Vince Gill. “I’ve collected a treasure trove of songs and with my friends and partners at MCA we’ve come up with a way to release all this new music. It’s a partnership that’s lasted 36 years and I’m grateful for it.

Vince Gill sat down with Charlie Worsham to "dive deeper into the songs of each EP and the stories from Vince’s storied career."

The lifetime contract marks a full-circle moment between Gill and MCA, the label that has supported him since his rise in the late ‘80s. MCA President & CEO Mike Harris called it a testament to mutual truth and a shared commitment to artistic integrity.

“Vince has been a major part of the MCA family for decades,” said Harris, “This lifetime agreement reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting his artistic vision and providing him artistic freedom while ensuring his legacy continues to grow.

Gill’s longtime manager Larry Fitzgerals echoed that sentiment, saying “MCA Records has been Vince’s home since early in his career, and now he knows their partnership will endure into the future. Vince’s fans wanting his music won’t have to look any further than MCA to find it.  My relationship with Vince began 41 years ago and I’m thrilled to stand with him at this important moment.”

With 1.7 billion streams, nearly 20 million albums sold, and shelves full of 22 Grammy and 18 CMA Awards, Vince Gill remains what he’s always been, a master artist with more stories to tell. 50 Years From Home doesn't close the book on his legacy, it turns the page to this next great chapter, reminding us that Gill’s song is far from its final verse.
